Farewell, Endeavor

I was lucky enough to be at home today and in Tucson. Mark Kelly, husband of former Rep Gabby Giffords, requested that NASA do a low flyover for Tucson as Endeavor makes her way to her final resting place. Here’s what I saw:

What a beautiful sight!

  1. How awesome, Ruth!!! I love anything to do with space, what a thrill it is to see it through your eyes!! One of my all-time favourite trips was to Cape Canaveral, and we got to walk through the modules that were being prepared for the space station…it’s such a thrill to know that those same modules are now up there in space!

  2. I was fortunate enough to be at home today, and to have a telephoto lens, and to be in the right spot! Space exploration is exciting. If I were younger, I might consider going up there!

  3. I feel a little sad about it. So many people risked and some have lost their lives for this program. I really hope that they gained a lot of knowledge to use going forward. Great picture, though – thanks!

Ruth passed away from cancer. Please remove from list
